Busy. BUSY. BUSY!!!
I took the Elementary Mathematics test yesterday. It was one hour long, with 4 major questions. Yes, it seems easy, and should be able to finish before an hour. I thought so initially, but a few questions proved me wrong.
I was happy doing the first question. It was a question with 3 parts and I solved the problems like a breeze. When I read the second question, I was stunned. It gave me an 'x' and a huge number. I was not sure of how to do it, and skipped. I was being extremely foolish when I was doing the first part of question 3. I realised that I could not multiply indices! I was not supposed to multiply indices, but multiply numbers! I spent lots of time checking every step while I was doing all the questions.
There were about 4 or 5 parts in question 2 and I had not done it! I left 15 minutes. I worked out all the possible steps and could not find the answer. Left 10 minutes. I had to think harder. 3 more minutes! Hurry! I felt like giving up numerous times. But the next thought came to my mind. It's not exactly a thought but an image, of me receiving back the paper and at the same time, receiving the 'look' on the teacher's face and making comment on why I did not attempt the question. Something in my brain told me the problem and I quickly worked on it. Alas, I managed to find the answer and finished exactly when the invigilator said,"Stop writing." I was deeply relieved. I hope this will never happen again. No, this will NEVER happen again.
PS Next week is going to be a 'full house' test week. I must survive this. I will definitely survive this.
Book update: I don't even have time to read any books. I carry around
Malgudi Days but honestly, I did not pay attention to what I'm reading. It's so boring. But I read
Blue Bloods: Van Alen Legacy on net. Schyler and Oliver on the run!
