Post-Review
Shadow Kiss.Finished in six days.(The book is much more thicker than the previous two books--Vampire Academy and Frostbite.)
I didn't even know how to start. So much actions and events had happened.I would try my best.
Rose overheard Dimitri's and Alberta's conversation on going to the Royal Court to testify Victor Dashkov's crime. They did not want to bring Rose and Lissa along, afraid they might spread some things about it.Rose told Lissa about it and Adrian told Rose in her dreams that he could help her go.So they went eventually.
They had this field experience that guardians-to-be must follow a Moroi and that experience would determine their grades for graduation.Rose was assigned to Christian and Eddie to Lissa.Rose was furious about the arrangement but Dimitri said it would help her without using the psychic bond that she and Lissa shared to become a better guardian. She saw Stan coming to attack her and Christian and was ready to fight back. But she was Mason's ghost and stopped so she stood there like a statue.Dimitri tried to force the real reason out of her but she refused to tell the truth. But they came to know about that in the end when Rose turned all hysterical about seeing ghosts all in her head.
One thing I
like love about this book was that Rose and Dimitri finally went to the 'full base'.They no longer pretend that they didn't like each other. But of course, they couldn't be too open about it because it was still forbidden. After they made out,Rose saw Mason again and told her there were Strigoi. There were lots of them and Dimitri wanted Rose to leave that place and rush back to the Academy to tell the guardians. She was supposed to guard a window but she was anxious for Christian's safety. She sneaked out and went to the church when she saw Christian. Two Strigoi went after them and Rose was nearly killed. It was Christian who saved her by using his magic:fire. So the both of them decided to kill Strigoi near the elementary of the campus and did a great job.Dimitri saw it and Rose thought he was going to disapprove it.But he didn't!He was so full of surprise in the book.Unexpected.
Some Moroi and dhampir were captured and Rose wanted to save them. She asked Mason for help and was led to a cave near the Academy.About fifty guardians were there to fight off the Strigoi but Dimitri and the other guardians could not get out of the cave because they were trapped. So Rose and another guardian went in to help them. When Alberta shouted for retreatment, they got all got out.But some Stirgoi (I think five of them) went after them and killed some of the guardians.
This was the part that I hated!
Because Dimitri was one of them.
Rose witnessed him being pinned down by the Strigoi and sank his fangs into his neck. She wanted to run back to him but was held back by Stan.Rose's mother slapped her, wanting her to come back to her sense and ordered her to run.Rose wanted Lissa to heal him but Lissa wouldn't because she thought that would be abusing her power. She noticed how Rose spoke and realised everything--that Rose loved Dimitri.Yeah, how blind was she.Even Adrian saw that before Lissa did.Rose then realised Dimitri had turned Strigoi when she asked Mason. She showed up at Adrian's room as she wanted him to give her money to leave the school.
She was off to kill Dimitri because they once said that they would rather die than become monsters.
PS I went to search for responses on Yahoo!.It was believed that Rose would go to Siberia to look for Dimitri because he was a bit homesick and there was his homeland.Should I read the next book?
